The self-propelled curbstone forming machine is divided into two types of power, diesel and gasoline. Both use a hammer-pressing type curbstone (road edge stone) slip-forming machine. A hammer device is installed in front of the forming mold, and the hammer moves back and forth like a piston. The cement concrete is pushed into the forming mold at a certain interval, and is compressed and formed into a curbstone (road edge stone). Similar to the extrusion type curbstone (road edge stone) slip-forming machine, the machine relies on the reaction force of the hammer on the cement concrete to move forward.
The spiral blade extrusion type curbstone (road edge stone, water retaining strip) slip-forming machine is used, with spiral blades installed in front of the forming mold. The blades continuously rotate and push the cement concrete (asphalt sand) into the forming mold, compressing and forming the curbstone (road edge stone, water retaining strip). The reaction force of the cement concrete (asphalt sand) against the spiral blades propels the machine forward. Curbstones (except for water retaining strips made of asphalt sand) cannot be laid on asphalt roads and can only be laid on water-stable layers.
